Drug Paraphernalia Possession Arrest Reported in La Grange Park

Vandalism

Someone broke the glass on a vending machine at The Grove, 701 La Grange Rd.

Saturday, November 16

Break-in Attempt

Someone tried to pry open the driver door of a car parked at Plymouth Place, 315 La Grange Rd., while the owner was at work. Nothing was reported stolen.

Suspended License 

Police charged Jose Rico, 24, of Chicago, with driving on a suspended license and with expired registration about 5:30 a.m. in the 500 block of La Grange Road. He was given a Nov. 27 court date and released on bond.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

Police charged Brendan Deweese, 20, of Brookfield, with driving without insurance or registration and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Forest Road about 8:20 p.m. Deweese told police he didn’t have any marijuana in his car because he was on probation for possession, but was driving home from a friend’s house, where he had been smoking marijuana, police said. 

Police found a grinder and a pipe and less than a gram of marijuana residue in the car. He was processed, given a Nov. 27 court date and released on bond.

Suspended License 

Police charged Juan Suarez-Arreola, 23, of Chicago, with driving on a suspended license, without insurance and no taillights near the intersection of La Grange and Elmwood roads about 5 p.m. He was given a Dec. 11 court date and released. He was also charged with a warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear for a suspended license charge.
