Possible Fraud Attempt
A woman in the 300 block of South Kensington Street reported she received calls from someone who said she won something, but would need to pay money to get the winnings about 3:30 p.m.
Identity Theft
A man in the 600 block of South 10th Avenue reported someone stole his identity about 3:30 p.m.

Break-in Attempt
A man in the 0-100 block of South La Grange Road reported a man wearing all black was opening doors and looked like he was trying to break in about 9:10 p.m. Nothing was reported stolen.
Sunday, November 17
Downed Wire Sets Fire
A resident in the 700 block of South Brainard Avenue reported a downed live wire set a tree on fire about 5:00 p.m. ComEd cleared the scene.
Break-in Attempt in Parking Lot
Someone reported they saw a man trying to break into a car in the Walgreen’s parking lot at 2 N. La Grange Rd. about 2:20 p.m. He told police the man, who was wearing a black and white baseball cap and a black and white leather jacket was jiggling the door handle of the car. Nothing was reported stolen.
Saturday, November 16
Drunk Man Goes to Church
Someone called police to report an intoxicated man at a church in the 100 block of 6th Avenue and that they wanted him to leave. The 58-year-old La Grange Park man was sent on his way.
Teen Crashes Into Light Pole
A 17-year-old Brookfield girl was cited for traffic violations after she lost control of her car and struck a light pole while making a left turn onto La Grange Road from 47th Street about noon. No one was injured.
Pool Products Stolen
Someone stole more than $500 in pool products from a yard in the 300 block of South La Grange Road about 10 a.m.
Friday, November 15
Shoplifter Tries to Steal Pants
Someone tried to steal pants from the Carousel Shop, 23 W. Calendar St., about 3:50 p.m. The offender was held until police arrived. The pants were returned and no one was charged, police said.
Suspended/Revoked License
Police charged Eddie Yepez, 29, of Chicago, with driving on a suspended/revoked license in the 100 block of North La Grange Road about 9 a.m. He was given a Dec. 31 court date and released.
Wednesday, November 13
Man Pressures Woman to Get in Car
A man in a small gray car pressured a woman to get into his car about 7:22 a.m. near the intersection of Cossitt and 6th avenues, according to the Doings La Grange.
