La Grange Road Resurfacing to Start Oct. 7

Resurfacing work on La Grange Road between Plainfield Road and Ogden Avenue will mean lane closures starting Monday, Oct. 7.

Lanes will close on La Grange Road as the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) works to resurface La Grange Road, from Plainfield Road to Ogden Avenue, starting Oct. 7, according to the Village of La Grange

IDOT has indicated that the work will take several weeks to complete. The scope of work includes milling and resurfacing existing pavement in areas that are deteriorated and re-striping the existing pavement markings, according to the village. The work will be performed by Central Blacktop of Hodgkins, Illinois.

At least one lane of traffic in both northbound and southbound directions will remain open during the work. Traffic delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid the work zone, according to the village.
