D105 Looks at Options to Accommodate Increased Enrollment: Report

La Grange School District 105 looks at options after seeing surge in enrollment in past five years, Triblocal reports.

With a 20-percent increase in enrollment in La Grange School District 105 over the last five years, officials are considering moving some of its classes to a church next year, Triblocal reported Wednesday.

Despite a $28 million renovation and expansion project that added eight new classrooms to the district, max class sizes jumped from 22 to 24 last year, D105 Superintendent Glenn Schlicting told the paper. 

The increase of about four percent each year from 2008 to 2012, "exceeded" district expectations, he said. 

The next D105 board meeting will be Monday, Oct. 28,
