Candy Seller Who Creeped Out Teen Girls Charged: Police

Ricky Ziko, of Berwyn, tried to sell candy to several teen girls in La Grange May 29 before police said they tracked him to Oak Lawn.

The man who police say offered candy to a teenage girl May 29 in La Grange was charged Friday with two counts of disorderly conduct for alarming and provoking a breach of the peace.

Ricky Ziko, 43, of Berwyn, tried to sell candy from his car to several young women near the intersection of Ashland and Cossitt avenues about 10 days ago, Chief Michael Holub said Monday in a release.

La Grange police got several more tips about the suspect after sending out a village-wide alert. With the help of a neighboring police department, officers were able to track Ziko to an Oak Lawn hotel.
