2 Charged With Stealing Car, Driving to LG Park; Burglary on Ostrander: Police

La Grange Park safety briefs from Oct. 17 include a residential burglary on Ostrander and the arrest of two offenders who stole a car and drove to La Grange Park to break into unlocked cars.

Criminal Trespass to Vehicle

Police arrested two offenders they questioned about a car break-in in the 1400 block Blanchan Street in La Grange Park after finding they had stolen a car from another town and were going through unlocked cars in La Grange Park. Officers questioned the offenders after a report of a car break-in during the overnight hours between Oct. 16 and 17, and learned they had stolen the car and driven it to La Grange Park. The stolen vehicle was recovered, and subjects were arrested and charged.

Residential Burglary on Ostrander

Someone broke into a home in the 1200 block of Ostrander Avenue about 2:45 p.m. Police said the offender tried to get into the home through the back door, then broke a window to get inside and stole a wallet. No description of the offender was provided.
