Legislators considering Illinois' first concealed carry law

Local LaGrange and Western Springs Families gathered on Monday to protest Illinois House Speaker Madigan’s support of an NRA-endorsed concealed carry law (SB2193). Speaker Madigan made an about-face on concealed carry and disregarded pleas for strong gun legislation to keep our families safe.  Post-Newtown grassroots organizations* united with established anti-gun violence advocates** to protest and advocate for common sense gun laws. 

We STRONGLY urge residents of LaGrange and Western Springs to speak out on concealed carry legislation as the Illinois legislature is working on crafting Illinois' first law permitting residents to carry concealed weapons RIGHT NOW.  Look up your Illinois state representative and senator at www.knowwho.com and send them a quick e-mail!  Tell them you want strong gun laws, including universal background checks!
