Tibetan Singing Bowl Concert at the Park District of La Grange

Danielle Dvorak is the Sound Vibrationist for this Tibetan Singing Bowl Concert. Singing bowls are a beautiful and powerful mystery. The bowls produce the sounds of AUM and HU, the "sounds" of energy becoming matter. The bowls make an excellent tool for mediation, centering and relieves stress. The Bowls used are over 100 years old and made up of an alloy of 7 metals! The vibration of the singing bowls synchronizes with brain waves and creates a therapeutic effect upon the mind/body by entraining the brain to move into Alpha & Theta states. When the brain goes into this state, the heart rate slows, the blood pressure normalizes, and tension melts away creating an opportunity for the body to "heal" itself. You will be laying of the floor for approx. one hours, so please bring a mat, pillow and or blanket (or all) for comfort. It is suggested no to eat right before this energy work, or eat very lightly.
The fees for this event is $35 for La Grange and Countryside residents or $46 for non-residents. Please pre-register for this event by September 28 either online at www.pdlg.org or coming to the Recreation Center located at 536 East Avenue, La Grange. For more information please contact the Park District of La Grange at 708-352-1762.
