LTHS Freshman Experience Day Welcomes Class of ’17 to Campus

Freshmen will learn traditions and get acquainted Wednesday with life in high school during the LTHS event.

Lyons Township High School ninth-graders will get a preview of what’s to come this year during Wednesday’s Freshman Experience Day at South Campus.

Upperclassmen will teach groups of the incoming students LTHS traditions, as well as prepare them for what to expect in high school.

The freshmen will also go on tours of the building, participate in team-building activities and get a free lunch in the courtyard.

Some of the day’s other activities include:

  • Welcome by Principal David Franson
  • Technology overview and expectations by Director of Technology Ed Tennant
  • Counselor Introductions
  • Cooperative Challenges (Team Building)
  • Co-Curricular Opportunities: “Power of Choice: Who you are begins with what you do”
  • LT Pride and Tradition
  • School Tour: “The Lions’ Path”

The day is scheduled to run from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
