ReplyThat is all well and good for the police to he on board for rail safety, but what about the public? They are the ones ignoring or disregarding the train signals. The police can talk all they want, I doubt if many will listen.

Reply70 mph is fine with me, motorists drive that fast anyway. It would help for future trips to see my brother-in-law down near St Louis.

ReplyI don't know if this one would count since it was so long ago, but I saw a fox on Joliet Rd running away from Countryside Bank back in 2002. My prior sighting posted earlier was last fall.

ReplyI agree with the prior comments for a light. They can have it on a timer to be a Flashing red during non-peak hours. This interection is similiar to Irving Park and Wood Dale Rds with the Milwaukee West RR line crossing both. I also like the idea for a pedestrian bridge but with the need for handicapped access there may not be enough room for such a span, especially on the north end. Let's see what the designers can come up with; I may be proven wrong.
