Works as a Veteran Service Officer for the American Legion. He assists veterans with claims for any injuries, disabilities or permanent illnesses sustain while on active duty.

Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10778, Western Springs and the current chair of the annual Memorial Day Parade and Observance for Western Springs.

Member of the various VFW posts since 1976

U.S. Army Active and Reserve components. First Sergeant (ret).  Medic, NBC, Infantry, Airborne.

Service in Viet Nam Nov 69 - Nov 70. Assigned as a medic to F Troop (yes, there really was a F Troop !), 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment
