The 39th annual Wright Plus house walk is returning Saturday, May 18, and tickets are on sale now for $100 or $85 for members. Buy your tickets here or call 877-848-3559. Attendees will have access to the three public buildings—the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, Unity Temple and the Robie House—during Wright Plus weekend or for any regular public tour through December 31, 2013. Ten homes sold in La Grange Park during March 2013, though sales in La Grange were the same as in March 2012.
The 10 detached, single-family homes sold in La Grange Park during March represented a 150 percent increase from March 2012, when four homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). In La Grange, the nine homes sold during March was the same as in 2012. In both towns, the median price of homes sold in March was slightly up compared to last year. The median price rose 2.3 percent to $334,950 from $327,500 in La Grange Park during March 2012, and rose 3.5 percent to $388,000 from $375,000 in La Grange. The number of homes sold in each town was also up from February 2013, when six homes were sold in both La Grange and La Grange Park.
