Blotter: Conversation Worries Resident, Woman Hurt By Broken Window and More

Conversation Worrisome La Grange police were called at about 4:45 p.m. May 11 after someone reported hearing two men at Lincoln and Sawyer avenues talking about stabbing each other. One man was in a champagne-colored sport-utility vehicle and the other was wearing a red hat and black shirt and riding on a red bicycle. Police could not locate them. Missing Woman 'Endangered,' May Be With Boyfriend Who Was Told to Stay Away

Second incident involves La Grange resident and alleged kidnapping.

An 18-year-old Willow Springs girl is described as missing and endangered by police after she was last seen May 5 and is believed to be with a boyfriend, a 16-year La Grange boy, whom she has an order of protection against. La Grange police went late May 7 to the boy’s home on the 300 block of East Avenue where they said relatives told officers they have not seen him since the weekend. The girl’s mother said she had not spoken to her since Saturday and believes she is with the boyfriend. The girl is 4-foot-8, weighs 110 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. She last was seen wearing a sleeveless white and green blouse and white pants. The boy is 5-foot-6 and wearing 123 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. La Grange police said the …

LT Finds 2 Students With Drugs, Paraphernalia

LT Officials Hold 2 on Drug-Related Charges La Grange police were called twice on the morning May 8 to Lyons Township High School North Campus, 100 S. Brainard Ave., on drug-related incidents involving students. In the first incident, at about 7:59 a.m., an 18-year-old La Grange boy found with marijuana was charged with possession of cannabis, less than 30 grams, and faces a June 25 court date.   Thirty minutes later, school officials had in custody a student for possession of drug paraphernalia—foil with a marijuana residue. The 17-year-old boy was not charged, La Grange police said. Tools Taken Officials from a La Grange business reported May 8 that a former employee took tools worth more than $500. Man Arrested for Lombard Shoplifting Linked to La Grange Park Incident

Man Accused of Shoplifting A Schaumburg man accused of stealing $698 worth of over-the-counter medicine on April 27 at the Jewel-Osco in La Grange Park was arrested two days later by Lombard police, who said he tried to steal $1,100 worth of medications at  a Jewel-Osco store in their village. Frank C. Evans, 37, who lives in an apartment on the 1700 block of Birch Boulevard was charged with retail theft in La Grange Park and felony retail theft in Lombard. He also was being held in DuPage County jail on an outstanding warrant, according to Lombard police Interviewed in jail, Evans told La Grange Park police that he has a heroin addiction and steals the medications to pay for his addiction. Blotter: Man Exposes Himself Twice at Downtown La Grange Businesses

The same man exposed himself the afternoon of May 2 at two businesses in downtown La Grange, according to police. A business on the 0-100 block of Harris Avenue said a man with dark hair and wearing a light blue shirt and blue pants exposed himself at about 4:56 p.m. and said his name was “Angel.” He last was seen going near the Palmer Place parking lot. Another business on the 0-100 block of west Calendar Avenue said the same man exposed himself at about 5:21 p.m. Home Burglarized A home on the 400 block of Sixth Avenue was entered by a stranger between 7:30 and 11 a.m. on May 1 through an unlocked back door. Vehicle, With Keys Inside, Stolen in La Grange Park is Found in Westchester

Vehicle Stolen, Recovered A vehicle was stolen at about midnight May 1 from a driveway on the 700 block of north Brainard Avenue but was recovered, unoccupied, in Westchester, according to La Grange Park police. The keys had been left in the vehicle, police said. Driver Ticketed for DUI A 45-year-old Willow Springs man was ticketed April 26 for driving under the influence and two other traffic violations after La Grange Park police said they saw his sport-utility vehicle going south on the 700 block of north LaGrange Road with only one headlight illuminated. Man Arrested on 3 Drug-Related Charges

A man was arrested on three drug-related charged after La Grange Park police said they found him sleeping in a car in a parking lot at about 4:58 a.m. May 1. Dustin C. Mullins, 27, whose last known address was on the 3800 block of Cleveland Avenue in Brookfield, was charged with possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic syringe, as well as obstructing his identification, when police said he gave them three different names that were not his own. He also was wanted for burglary on a Cook County warrant, police said. Police received a call of a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot, whose address they blacked out on a report. Workers’ Conduct Worries Caller A caller told La Grange police that Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad workers who are dropped off by a bus  every morning at Maple and Bluff avenues have been throwing trash onto the railroad tracks and one worker urinated on the rails. A railroad supervisor told police he will take care of the problem. Pole on Fire ComEd responded to a pole on fire behind a business on the 100 block of La Grange Road at about 3:16 p.m. April 28. Blotter: Robbery Call Brings Crash, Hazardous Mopeds and More

A La Grange police officer investigating a report of a strong-arm robbery on the 0-100 block of west Calendar Avenue at about 2:50 p.m. April 21 said a driver backing out of a parking space on the north side of the street struck his squad car parked in the street. The report of a robbery was determined to be unfounded, police said. The other driver, a 67-year-old woman from Downers Grove, was not ticketed. Messages Worry Girl’s Mom A La Grange mother told police April 16 that her 11-year-old daughter has been talking with someone she met through the Internet and who she thinks may be an older male looking for young girls. Police found there was no inappropriate messages and no contact, according to investigator Ken Uher. Equipment Taken Off Truck Lawn equipment was taken off the rear of a Park District of La Grange truck at Elm Park, Elm and Stone avenues, between 8:30 and 9 a.m. April 18, according to La Grange police.
