The United States Post Office has announced a public meeting for La Grange Park residents to share their thoughts on the possible closure of its La Grange Park branch, 701 East 31st St. The meeting will be held at the La Grange Park Public Library, 555 N. La Grange Rd., on Tuesday Nov. 1 from 6-7 p.m. Additionally, the post office has sent letters to La Grange Park residents asking them to fill out a survey detailing for what services, and how often, they use their local branch. Catherine Ave. On the agenda tonight, will be a final vote on an agreement between the village and ADT Security on upgrading fire alarms that are part of system monitored by the fire department; the lease of a post office lot; and consideration of a special use permit at Sisters of St. Joesph Motherhouse on Ogden Avenue. Tonight's meeting of the board of trustees in La Grange Park looks to be a pretty standard affair. The meeting begins tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall, located at 447 N. Catherine Ave. In addition to reports from village staff, trustees and the village president, the board will be discussing the approval of a proposals to pave Beach Avenue, Morgan Avenue and Jackson Avenue.
