LT Sports: Harris, Mogorovic Earn All-State in Boys Track; Soccer Team Captures Silver
Lyons Township junior Matt Harris was second in long jump and junior Lino Mogorovic was fifth in the 300 hurdles at the Class 3A boys track state meet while the LT girls soccer won its first conference title since 2006 and first outright title since 2000.
Lyons Township junior Matt Harris had an outdoor lifetime-best long jump at the Class 3A boys track state meet. Harris also nearly captured a state championship. Harris’ distance of 23 feet-8 1/2 inches earned second place May 26 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, just four inches behind Wheaton North junior Zach Gordon’s state title 24-1/2.
