A resolution will be filed in Springfield asking Illinois House members to allow Lashawn K. Ford to continue serving the 8th District. In a press release issued Friday, Ford also will ask his colleagues to remain neutral regarding _the 17-count federal indictment filed against him Thursday_ on bank fraud and related charges. As of Friday morning, the resolution has not been filed. A staff secretary with the House of Representatives, who would not identify herself, said that the staff of the Legislative Reference Bureau is working on it, and it will be filed as soon as it is ready.
