Kensington Railroad Crossing to Temporarily Close for Repairs
The Kensington Avenue railroad cross will be closed for two days starting on Wednesday, April 4.
Editor's Note: the following is a message from the Village of La Grange The Village would like to advise residents that the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad plans to perform track maintenance at the Kensington Avenue railroad crossing. The purpose of this work is to repair a defect in the rail that is currently causing a slow zone for trains through this area. A complete closure of the crossing will be required for this work starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4. The BNSF has indicated that this work is anticipated to last two days. Traffic will be detoured on Burlington and Hillgrove avenues to the rail crossings located at either Brainard Avenue to the west or Ashland Avenue to the east. Signs will be posted in the area …
