Do You Stop at Stop Signs?
A stop sign means come to a complete stop, not a rolling one.
My youngest son, Zak, is now driving with his learner's permit so I am back to being a passenger with white knuckles. Actually that’s not true, Zak is a very good driver and because I have spent so much time as a passenger on the streets of La Grange, I have noticed that a lot of people think that stop signs are optional. Come on, you know who you are. I know it seems harmless, but please remember that children are out playing or walking home from school and could run out into the street at any time. So the next time you approach a stop sign please think about the children and take five seconds to come to a complete stop. Those five seconds could be life changing if you accidentally hit someone because you chose not to stop.

Darren, I think we've all been guilty of this at some point and time. It's so easy to get caught up in just getting where you're going and not thinking about your surroundings. With snow and ice just around the corner more people will be walking on the streets too.   more ›
