Musings From a Disappointed Bears Fan

I made the decision, win or lose, I was going to write about the Bears-Packers game. Unfortunately, I have to write about the loss.

My husband was out of town this past weekend so I told my son he could have the football watching party at our house. The two of us headed out to stock up on junk food around 11 a.m. and then set up while watching the pregame shows. When the game started, I had six teenagers watching the game in the basement while I retreated to the first floor to watch by myself. I tend to get very animated and loud while watching sports. The teens who were over all know how I am though. As I watched the game I was watching Twitter.com and Facebook.com. Some of the tweets were very funny and some a little too passionate. Show Us How Much You Love Da Bears

I’ve seen support for the Green Bay Packers in our town—I happen to live next door to a Cheesehead. Let’s show them Da Bears fans love their team more! Send me pictures of you and yours decked out in orange and blue.

As I was preparing to write this column, I received an e-mail informing of a column that had just been published on La Grange Patch. My editor, Beth Palmer, published a column asking local cheeseheads to write in about why they are Packers fans living in this area, and to add their favorite Packers pictures. This column is the exact opposite. I want to show all those Packers fans that here in La Grange and La Grange Park we LOVE Da Bears! I have plenty of Bears shirts, jerseys and sweatshirts but I'm always looking for new styles. I went to Crosstown Sports, 46 S. La Grange Road, and ended up with a really cool new T-shirt that has a rib cage on it with a Bears' head logo for the heart. Love it! The best news while visiting our local store…
