Over 500 Tickets Already Sold for St. Francis' Wild West Fest Tonight

St. Francis School's Wild West Festival, a biennial auction and fundraiser, kicks off on Saturday at 6 p.m. and runs until midnight.

Get ready for a wild party at St. Francis Xavier School, 145 N. Waiola Ave., in La Grange tonight. From 6:30 p.m. to midnight, St. Francis will host its Wild West Festival—its biggest fundraiser of the year under a big tent in the school's parking lot.  There's a little something for everyone at tonight's event, including over $150,000 in live and silent auction items, a beer tasting, a mechanical bull and progressive poker. Ticket's are $70 and can be purchased online at www.SFXauction.com. Items up for auction include a two-hour basketball clinic with Steve Novak of the New York Knicks, iPads, an outdoor movie night and a weeklong stay at a condo on Marco Island in Florida. La Grange Patch checks out the scene at The Helping Hand Center's 13th Annual Gala and Auction on Saturday night.

The Helping Hand Center, a nonprofit organization that offers assistance to people with disabilities, held its biggest fundraiser of the year on Saturday at the Marriott Hotel Banquet Hall in Bur Ridge. The night featured a cocktail reception followed by dinner. Attendees placed bids on sports memorabilia and vacation packages through a silent auction and a live auction later in the evening. The money raised will go to lending a helping hand to The Helping Hand Center to continue its programming and support for people with disabiliites in the La Grange area.

Get Ready to Gala: What to Wear to Helping Hand's Fundraiser This Weekend

The Helping Hand Center, holds its 13th Annual Gala and Auction this Saturday, March 10. Patch is here to help with all the information and some tips from stylist Nancy Pipal on what to wear.

The Helping Hand Center, a nonprofit organization that offers assistance to people with disabilities, holds its biggest fundraiser of the year this Saturday, March 10 at the Marriott Hotel Banquet Hall in Bur Ridge. The 13th Annual Helping Hand Gala and Auction features a cocktail reception, dinner and wine service, a silent auction and a live auction as well as other entertainment. A 10-piece band, Roxette, featuring a string ensemble, keyboard and classical guitar will provide music for the event. CBS Chicago news anchor Rob Johnson hosts the event again this year. Approximately $125,000 of Unclaimed Property on Auction Block

The state can't find the rightful owners so items from gold bracelets to Beanie Babies are being sold.

Starting at 10 a.m. Monday, the state will accept bids on 15,256 pieces of property being auctioned off in the Illinois Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Auction. The items were stored in bank security deposit boxes and turned over to the state because the items' rightful owners have not come forward to claim them in more than five years. The 2011 online unclaimed property auction will continue until 6 p.m. Dec. 11. The value of the items is estimated at approximately $125,000. To begin the online bidding process, click here.

La Grange Police to Auction Off Unclaimed Property

Auction will be held Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. at police station.

The La Grange Police Department is holding an auction of unclaimed, abandoned and surplus property on Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. at the rear of the La Grange Police Department, 304 W. Burlington Ave. Surplus property from the La Grange Fire Department will also be up for auction. Items to be auctioned will be on display one hour prior to the start of the auction. All potential bidders must register prior to the start of the auction. All sales are final. Items are “as is” and successful bidders must pay cash for all merchandise. The items include: bicycles, tools, electronics as well as other miscellaneous items.

La Grange is Going to Rock This Weekend: Auction and Sidewalk Sale

It’s a busy weekend in La Grange with a live auction on Friday and a sidewalk sale on Saturday.

This week, the rocking chairs that have been on display all summer in downtown La Grange, will be removed from their locations to get ready to be auctioned off. As in past years, the summer displays are auctioned off with the funds going to charity and non-profits. Some of the chairs need some slight touch-ups after a long, hot summer on the sidewalks of La Grange. The artists will get the chairs ready for the big event on Sept. 9. The live auction will be held at La Grange Village Hall, 53 S. La Grange Rd., from 5-7 p.m. There will be live entertainment by The Twisters, and all the chairs will be on display. The live auction begins at 7 p.m. and is expected to last until 9 p.m., or until all the chairs have been auctioned off to their new…
