Position Description
The 8th Illinois House District is one of 118 in the state. It is currently represented by La Shawn K. Ford (D-Chicago) and covers parts of Chicago, Oak Park, Berwyn, North Riverside, Riverside, Hines, Forest Park, Brookfield, La Grange Park, La Grange and Western Springs.
In 2012, Ford is unopposed in his bid for re-election in both the March General Primary and the November General Election.
