Nazareth Academy is among the oldest educational institutions in the western suburbs and was founded in 1900 by the Sisters of Saint Joseph. The school has since expanded and has received many renovations in its history. The athletic facilities are top-notch: the football field was recently resurfaced has a large amount of bench seating. Academically, the school places much importance on college preparation. Along with the focus on high academic standards comes an emphasis on spirituality and service. Students are expected to complete 10 hours of community service each school year. The school also has a wide variety of clubs to choose from, including the guitar club, the chess club, and the Spanish club.
