Brookfield Zoo

Flag as Inappropriate

The Brookfield Zoo opened in 1934 and since then has been one of Chicagoland's major attractions. The zoo is convenient to get to by train: take the Metra BNSF line to Hollywood station.  There is a lot of signage to lead you to the zoo, and it also has plenty of parking. There are two entrances: the North Gate and the South Gate. Both entrances provide bicycle parking for free. The zoo has around 90 different species of animals on display. There are a variety of exhibits which change throughout the year. Some exhibits are Tropic World, African Savanna, Wolf Woods, Great Bear Wilderness, Stingray Bay, Swamp World, Hoofed Animals, and the Children's Zoo.
