LT's Community-Wide Lip Dub Shoot is This Weekend

LT organizes community-wide Katy Perry lip dub.

Lyons Township Shooting Community-Wide Lip Dub Oct. 26
The Lyons Township High School lip dub video for Good Morning America's "Roar With Katy Perry" contest has been shared on YouTube. Schools across the nation submitted two-minute videos to Perry's song, "Roar." The school with the best video will win a concert for the entire student body in late October. Keep your fingers crossed that LT wins.

The Roar lip dub was the first shoot of an even bigger and more ambitious LT project, according to LT. To celebrate LT's 125th anniversary, LTTV and Student Council are shooting the first ever community-wide LT Lip Dub on Saturday, Oct. 26.

"We want the whole LT community to come out and show their LT spirit. We invite students and staff, parents and alumni, Boosters and businesses to join us on Saturday, October 26. Check out the route that we will take for the filming and figure out where you want to be," a message on the LT website reads.

For more information about the lip dub on Oct. 26, contact Director of Student Activities Peter Geddeis and let him know who your group is and what you would like to do for the video. Find more information from Lyons Township High School here.

LT Fans Wearing Purple for Kelli O'Laughlin Friday
A call to the Lyons Township community is asking that the crowd at Friday's Lions football regular-season finale wear purple to commemorate the two-year anniversary of Kelli O'Laughlin's death.

"The last regular season game @ Lyons Township on Friday, October 25th is PURPLE OUT in honor of Kelli Joy O'Laughlin," a Facebook post by Brenda O'Laughlin reads.
