Scenes from the Theatre of Western Springs' biggest annual fundraiser, featuring local restaurants' cuisine and a massive silent auction.

Scores of loyal patrons of the flooded the Theatre and its outdoor area on Saturday evening for the annual Taste of the Arts festival, the Theatre’s largest fundraiser of the year featuring local restaurants and auctions of various cool stuff donated by Theatre members and advocates, including residents of the La Grange area.

For the first time this year, Taste of the Arts featured live music. And as always, all food, drink and auction prizes were donated. Items in the silent and live auctions ranged from gift baskets and golf clubs to a two-week stay in a Hawaiian timeshare.

“We have very generous members of our theatre,” said Theatre fundraising chair Jennifer Germano-Miller. “We really need the fundraiser because we are able to bring professional theatre and community theatre prices.
