Community Support Services Celebrates Thanksgiving Early
Community Support Services once again celebrated Thanksgiving early for a special dinner bringing together individuals and families who receive support from their services.
Community Support Services (CSS) celebrated Thanksgiving early again this year at the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange.
As they have done for many years now, local civic and community leaders, members of the Board of Directors, and staff members donated and served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for a capacity crowd of people with developmental disabilities that live in the area and receive support from CSS, which annually assists 600 area families.
State Representative La Shawn Ford (8th District) and Representative Mary Flowers (31st District) joined the group and assisted in serving desserts from the Riverside Junior Women’s Club. This gathering brings together people with intellectual/developmental disabilities that live and work in the community with assistance from CSS, based in Brookfield and serving the western suburbs for over 30 years.
