LTHS to bring Santa home for the holidays

Lyons Township High School has established a direct link to the North Pole via the computer. Children, aged kindergarten through third grade, are invited to South Campus to write letters to Santa on Discovery Center computers and receive an immediate response from the North Pole!

Holiday Write Night Christmas Around the World is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, South Campus Discovery Center and surrounding classrooms. Participants and their families may drop in anytime between 4-7p.m. There is no admission charge, but in the spirit of the season, a donation of one non-perishable food item is requested. All food will be donated to a local food pantry.

Write Night will include a story room, coloring room, face-painting room, and cookie decorating room, staffed by LT elves. Children get their pictures taken with LT’s mascots, Noil and Nessie, and create a personalized holiday card on the computer. They can also record a holiday message that will be heard on WLTL radio.  LT students provide musical and magical entertainment, while other LT student volunteers accompany each child, one-on-one, through all the activities.
