Lions and Tigers and Beers, Oh My!

is planning a fun event for beer drinkers in collaboration with this month: Zoo Brew.

On Aug. 26 from 4-8 p.m., you can head to the zoo for a special beer-tasting event featuring more than 40 craft beers representing 14 craft brewers. The event will cost $45 per person and is only available to those 21 and older. If you're a zoo member you'll get an additional $10 discount to the event.

In addition to tossing back a couple of cold ones, the event will feature live music by the Chicago-based band Modern Day Romeos, performing everything from Motown classics to more contemporary dance and rock hits. Food items like hot dogs, brats, nachos, and soft pretzels will also be available for purchase if you like a little something salty with your brew.

Purchasing a ticket to the event will get you 20 three-ounce samples, a commemorative beer glass, admission to the zoo and free parking.

Want to be the designated driver? A discounted ticket is available for you for $25 that will include unlimited soft drinks as well as zoo admission.
