LT Pair Qualify for State Boys Golf Tournament
Dan Hudson and Jon Hudson return to Bloomington this year to compete as individuals in the 3A tournament.
Two Lyons Township golfers will be competing at the IHSA 3A State Boys Golf Tournament this weekend.
Senior Dan Hudson and junior Jon Hudson are among the 112 3A golfers who qualified for the two-round tournament that takes place Friday and Saturday at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington.
Both Hudsons came out of last weekend's Naperville Central Sectional, at which Lyons Township finished fourth as a team. Jon Hudson shot a 73—equaling the third-lowest score shot at the sectional—while Dan Hudson finished with a 75.
Both Hudsons competed at state last year, when Lyons Township qualified as a team.
Friday's first-round tee times are set. Dan Hudson will begin on the back nine at 10 a.m. in a group with Jacobs senior Chris Boyle, St. Charles North senior Raghav Cherala and Pekin junior Drake Bushong.
Jon Hudson will go off the front nine at 10:18 p.m. along with Carmel senior Jared Moore, Joliet Central junior Trent Wallace and Lockport junior Gehrig Hollatz.
