Final "Real Fan Days" Weekend with the Chicago Wolves

“REAL FAN DAYS” concludes on Saturday, September 3, and Sunday, September 4, with a celebration of the Chicago Wolves. Festivities include appearances by current Wolves players and Skates the team’s mascot, wolf Zoo Chats, a scavenger hunt, hockey skill games, and more.

 

Visitors who wear Chicago Wolves apparel will receive a 20 percent discount off zoo admission. All activities are free with regular admission of $13.50 for adults and $9.50 for children 3 to 11 and seniors 65 and over. Children 2 and under free. Parking is $9.

  •  Meet and get autographs from current Chicago Wolves players.
  •  Meet Skates the Chicago Wolves mascot from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
  • At 11:15 a.m., a special Mexican grey wolf Zoo Chat at Regenstein Wolf Woods will tie-in fun facts about the Chicago Wolves and introduce guests to the zoo’s own wolf pack.
  •  Partake in a scavenger hunt that will take place around the zoo connecting sports teams, skills used in playing hockey, and fun facts about animals at the zoo. Complete the quiz correctly and you will be entered in a drawing for Chicago Wolves game tickets.
  •  Be a sports broadcaster and announce iconic sports plays at the broadcast “karaoke” booth.
  •  View and purchase sports memorabilia courtesy of AU Sports Memorabilia on the West Mall.

 

     Free Hockey Skill Drills on Brookfield Zoo’s West Mall

  • Hockey Shoot Out: participants can show their sport skills in an inflated sport cage.
  • Giant Bags Set: sports fans of all ages can play a supersized version of the classic tailgating game.
  • Stack the pucks.
  •  Play Wolves Buckets.

This is the final weekend of “REAL FAN DAYS,” a series of events that allows fans of Chicago professional sports teams to meet players and mascots, test their skill at sports games, and enjoy themed entertainment. Plus, guests can discover the REAL connection their favorite teams share with iconic animals at Brookfield Zoo and within the Great Bear Wilderness exhibit, presented by Dominick’s, through programming and activities.
