2nd Annual Women’s Health and Fitness Fair at Waiola Park in La Grange on Friday, September 23

The new school year is here and with it comes a change to our daily routines.  Why not take this opportunity to set aside a little time for you.  With the rave reviews from last year, the organizers of the Women's Wellness Health and Fitness Fair have decided once again to host this hugely popular outdoor event on Friday, September 23 from 9am-noon at Waiola Park in La Grange.

Kathi Mungo, owner of BargainsForMom.com and co-sponsor stated “moms spend the majority of their time taking care of everybody else and they run out of time when it comes to themselves.  We wanted to provide an easy and fun way for moms to get information about products and services that will make them feel better, have more energy, improve their health and ultimately live longer."

Over 30+ local health and wellness businesses will be present at this spectacular event including representatives from local health clubs, boot camps, personal training, yoga and pilates studios, chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, athletic gear, skin care, nutritionists, running groups, physical therapists and more.  Visitors can stop by booths to gather information, watch demonstrations, participate in free lessons and receive giveaways.  In addition, every participating business is donating items or gift certificates for a raffle.  When a mom visits each sponsor’s booth, they will be given a ticket which is entered into the raffle.  Every half hour a winner will be announced.

Julie Hossack, owner of Finish Line Fit Club and co-sponsor of the event, hopes that through this event "women will have the opportunity to find some healthful habits that they can incorporate into their own lives.   Being healthy isn't an all-or-nothing proposition.  Sometimes it just takes changing a small habit to make a huge positive change."

Sally Head, owner of La Grange Adventure Boot Camp and another co-sponsor of the event, adds that "the Health and Wellness Fair is a also good reminder to La Grange area women that they don't need to go very far to find high quality fitness, nutrition and health related businesses with so many that are right here in our own backyard."
