Painted Rubbish Leaving La Grange, Moving to Burr Ridge

Painted Rubbish moving to new location in Burr Ridge

Less than a year after opening in downtown La Grange, Painted Rubbish owner Gina De La Mora is closing the store and heading to Burr Ridge, where she'll run furniture-painting and restoration classes.

"We left because we got the great opportunity to get space in an oversized loft," De La Mora said Wednesday. "We simply outgrew out space in La Grange due to a huge demand in our classes, as well as my custom paint jobs.

"La Grange, I can say, was a huge part in our success. The village and neighbors alike were nothing short of excellent to us."

De La Mora has been conducting estate sales for a while now, and has another business in Westmont. Painted Rubbish is also an estate sale and staging company, according to the store's Facebook page.

The new location is at 7700 Brush Hill Rd. in Burr Ridge.
