From Lyons Township High School:
Due to the extreme weather conditions, LT will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 27, 2014. The combination of the dangerously cold temperatures expected for our area, no assurances that buses will function properly and in an effort to keep students and staff safe, all after school activities are also cancelled and will be re-scheduled; this includes all athletic practices and club meetings. At this point, school will resume as normally scheduled with students in attendance on Tuesday.
According to Illinois school code, LT is required to make up this missed day, which will require the use of emergency days on the adopted LT school calendar. We will develop and communicate the plan to make-up this day once school is back in session.
