Stop Human Trafficking in Cook County

Learn about the Cook County Sheriff's Office approach to stop human trafficking in Cook County by ending demand and offering services to the victims. Speakers include representatives for the Department of Women's Justice Programs, who provide support to victims of trafficking, as well as officers from the vice unit, who do the arresting and investigations into trafficking. They'll discuss the dimensions of the human trafficking problem in Cook County, what steps are being taken to curtail it, and share what citizen education and support is needed to assist with putting a stop to this pervasive criminal activity.
