Pillars facilitates “Supporting our Grieving Teens & Children” at Lyons Township High School

On Tuesday, December 14th at 7pm, Pillars will facilitate a presentation entitled "Supporting our Grieving Teens and Children" at Lyons Township High School South Campus in the Performing Arts Center located at 4900 S. Willow Springs Road. Kelly Huggins, LCSW, grief counselor and Director of Pillars' Buddy's Place, will lead the discussion and answer questions about teen and childhood grief and the unique way children grieve. If you know of a teen or child that is struggling with grief or you are a teen living through the death of a friend or loved one, this presentation will address the unique grieving process of teens and children, provide healthy strategies for parents and teens to facilitate the grieving process and provide some warning signs which may indicate a need for additional support. To make sure enough materials are on hand for all attendees to this free event, please RSVP to Kelly Huggins at 708-995-3751 or khuggins@pillarscommunity.org.
