Observations From The Chamber of Commerce

Summer is time of getting out and moving around. Enjoy all the hot, humid and windy season offers.

There should not be a shortage on mulch for the next year or so.

If you thin the canopy of your trees you might suffer less breakage and destruction.

The resetting of traffic signals must be the responsibility of someone that has an unlisted phone number.

Fresh peaches are available at the Farmers’ Markets.  Buy them early in the morning and buy them often.

If you have not sat and rocked in one of the painted chairs that are around the downtown area of La Grange – you are missing out on some fun.

Pro-active policing is keeping you safe during the night as well as the day.  If you have a concern about most anything, call the police.  They’d rather say it was nothing than find out later that a response would have been in order.

Francesca’s puts out a bowl of water for dogs with ice.  Nice touch.

Mattone’s serves a fabulous pizza straight from their Italian oven.  Abbondanza!

The Chamber’s Welcome Breakfast for new teachers and administrators is August 16.

Palmer Place has a beer that is $25 for two ounces.  You may not wish to order a full glass, but it is well worth the taste.  Yeah, it is imported.

If you want to help the troops out in the combat zones, you can purchase a pound of fudge and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (Jean’s the brains) will send another pound to those in harm’s way.  Everyone is a winner.

If you lack a will – are you betting with your wealth?  See a professional while you are healthy.  It will relieve stress.

In my garden I have a dozen pickable bell peppers, chilies, lettuce and onions, black raspberries, medium sized beets, and a few snow peas.  The tomato plants are about three to four feet high.  Start looking for mean bugs.  They can destruct your hard work in the blink of an eye.

With the heat and humidity, wellness checks are in order.  Your neighbors will appreciate your kindness.
