Village of La Grange Park Board of Trustees Meeting Tonight

The Village of La Grange Park board of trustees will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 447 N. Catherine Ave.

On the agenda tonight, will be a final vote on an agreement between the village and ADT Security on upgrading fire alarms that are part of system monitored by the fire department; the lease of a post office lot; and consideration of a special use permit at Sisters of St. Joesph Motherhouse on Ogden Avenue.

Village fire alarms

Village trustees discussed and decided at the last Village Board Workshop meeting that they would like to see this approved. It will likely offer savings to both the village and building owners who are required to be connected to the fire department's fire alarm monitoring system.

Post office parking lot lease

At the last Village Board workshop meeting, trustees discussed accepting a for village-owned land that the La Grange Park Post Office has been using as a parking area. The post office said it no longer needs the space, and that it is unrelated to the

Trustees requested more information at the meeting and the issue will be brought up again tonight to let trustees know what the village has received. A further discussion of the matter will be brought up at the Sept. 13 Village Board Workshop. 

Special use permit for wireless antennas 

As discussed at a July 19 meeting of the La Grange Park zoning board, trustees will discuss granting a special use permit to New Cingluar Wireless to install wireless telecommuncations equiptment at Sisters of St. Joesph Motherhouse, located at 1515 W. Ogden Ave.

The zoning board has recommended approval for the permit. Trustees are likely to approve.
