Sewer Construction Work Begins Monday in Western Springs

Sewer repair work begins week of June 16 on Howard and 43rd in Western Springs.

Construction on Howard Avenue/43rd Street is officially scheduled to begin the week of Monday, June 16.

The contractor will be onsite early in the week to begin saw-cutting the pavement in preparation for the sewer repair work. Once this is completed, the contractor will begin the installation of the new sewer that runs from Hillgrove Avenue to 43rd Street.

Residents will still have full access to driveways during the sewer portion of the project. There may be times throughout the day where the contractor is working on the sewer in front of your home. The contractor will be knocking on your door if the work will interfere with your ability to get in and out of the driveway.

Please remember that performing underground work always runs the risk of hitting water and gas services. This may create moments where you will lose access to water or gas in your home. If this occurs, you will be notified in person and the repair work will begin immediately.
