Lipinski to Host Job Fair Friday in Bridgeview

Event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community center.

Looking for a job? Then grab your resume and head over to a Bridgeview job fair on Friday.

Numerous employers will be on hand to inform job seekers of openings in their respective companies.Participating businesses include: BNSF, Norfolk Southern, Academia Truck Driving School, Cintas Corporation, Brookfield Zoo, EMD, Staffmark, May Trucking, Schneider Trucking, Amtrak, Comfort Keepers, Walgreens, Guardian Security and UPS. The job fair is hosted by Rep. Dan Lipinski.

“Helping Americans get back to work is my top priority,” Lipinski (D-Western Springs) said in a statement. “This Job Fair is an excellent opportunity for area residents looking for work to network and connect with local businesses.”

In August the unemployment rate in Illinois was 9.9 percent, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Bridgeview Community Center, 7900 S. Oketo Ave. Attendees should be sure to bring multiple copies of their resume.
