LG Board to Vote on Stone Avenue Station Renovation

The village has received six bids for the project, all significantly above an architect's estimate.

The La Grange Board of Trustees will vote at Monday night's meeting on whether to accept any of six bids offered for the renovation of the Stone Avenue train station, The Suburban Life reports.

According to the paper, bids range from $1.03 million to $1.3 million, while the project architect had given an estimate of about $875,000. The village has in hand for the project $385,000 from the West Suburban Mass Transit District and $700,000 in federal funding secured by Rep. Dan Lipinski.

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at La Grange Village Hall.
