La Grange Park Village Board Meeting Tonight

Swearing in of new officers on the agenda as well as discussion of pay increases for village staff.

The Village of La Grange Park Board of Trustees will meet tonight at Village Hall, 447 N. Catherine Ave, for the board's monthly meeting. As always, it is open to the public, who are encouraged to join and participate.

Highlights on tonight's agenda:

  • At tonight's meeting, two new officers will be sworn in: Police Sergeant Joe Renc and officer Robert (Doug) Rackow will be sworn in to their positions on the village police force at the start of the meeting.
  • As part of the village's consent agenda, the board will be considering approval of pay raises in the salary of the village treasure—likely a 1 percent cost-of-living increase.
  • The village board will also be receiving an update from the Cool Village Commission. Since its last report, the CVC has completed an inventory of greenhouse gas emissions in the village, which will give the board an idea of the total greenhouse gas output in La Grange Park from sources like residents and industry.
