La Grange Park Residents to Get Electrical Aggregation Opt-Out Letters

Mailing July 30- Aug. 3 to let them choose provider other than First Energy Solutions.

La Grange Park residents will start receiving letters between Monday, July 30, and Friday, Aug. 3, with instructions on how to opt out of a new electricity provider, if they choose.

The Village Board June 12 approved a contract with First Energy Solutions to provide La Grange Park residents with electricity for the next two years. Residents who do not opt out of the program will be charged 4.93 cents per kilowatt-hour, which includes 50 percent green energy and a civic contribution to the village.

Those who have not already selected an alternative energy provider and who are not on ComEd’s hourly rate program automatically will be included in the program.
