La Grange, La Grange Park Leaders Prepared for Rail Disaster
Officials in La Grange and La Grange Park say regular disaster drills have them prepared for potential railway accidents.
The Doings reported on Aug. 1 that officials in La Grange and La Grange Park said they are prepared for possible disaster situations on rail lines in both villages.
La Grange Fire Chief Bill Bryzgalski said crews in the La Grange Fire Department train regularly for situations ranging from derailments to chemical spills and evacuations.

The most recent railroad accident in La Grange and La Grange Park occurred just west of La Grange's Stone Avenue Station earlier this year , killing the driver.
