"We had an ovation for the village staff tonight," said Trustee Scott Mesick. "That reflects on it's leadership. [Cedillo] has been incredibly competent and very responsive to the public."

Cedillo had been serving the village as the interim village manager since the prior village manager, Bo Proczko, was dismissed by the board in a 4-2 vote in October 2010. Discipio said that Cedillo had defined herself as someone who thoroughly cared about the community and it's residents, citing her assistance of residents during the recent storms and power outages.
