According to Hannah's mom, Heather, Hannah and her classmates got the chance to meet Madigan on a recent field trip to Springfield with other kindergarteners at . The class got a guided tour of the Illinois State Capitol building led by Madigan himself.
Madigan took time to talk with the kids about his job, how the capital functions and where its elected officials vote.
