What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?: I hope to expand the duties of Clerk by requesting to be a Freedom of Information Officer. Access to government information provides transparency between Village Hall and the residents, ensuring elected officials and staff continue to act in the best interests of the citizens.

Have 17 years experience in the publishing industry, including positions as Advertising Account Executive for Pioneer Press, General Manager for Chicago Sun-Times' custom publishing unit Performance Media, and Advertising Director for WHERE Chicago Magazine. Curretnly working part-time as a retail, restaurant and product evaluator.

Political Party Affiliation: Independent

Why are you seeking office?: The reason definitely comes from within - I feel "driven" to do this. As a 16-year resident, I have an enormous amount of pride in La Grange and want to take an active role in continuing the village's strong stature.

What sets you apart from the other candidates (if applicable)?: I do not have information on my opponent at this time.

What are the other issues you plan to address in this position, and how?: I hope to enhance transparency wherever possible. As Clerk, I will be required to take the Open Meeting Act training and will carry out the principles contained within the act. The Village of La Grange has a great website, it's expansive and user-friendly. We could, however, improve our score on the Illinois Policy Institute's Website Transparency Survey. I hope to contribute to that effort.

I will follow the tradition of current Clerk Morsch by leading the Pledge of Allegiance at meetings and would like to occasionally invite a veteran or an "everyday" hero in La Grange to lead the pledge and be honored at the meetings.
