West Chicago Man Ticketed for DUI in La Grange

Hit-and-run, rear-end collisions reported to La Grange police.

DUI

John H. Hughes, 29, of West Chicago, was ticketed for driving under the influence of alcohol and one other unidentified traffic violation after La Grange police stopped his vehicle at 100 N. LaGrange Road at about 3:18 a.m. April 3.

A car was hit while parked in the Horton’s ACE Hardward lot, 60 S. LaGrange Road, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 2, according to la Grange police. 

No Driver's License

Josue Gutierrez, 26, was ticketed for no driver’s license when La Grange police stopped his car at Ogden and Blanchan avenues at about 1:20 p.m. April 3. His hometown was not listed in the police shift report.

Hit-and-Run

The rear of a 48-year-old La Grange woman’s 2002 Lexus, parked at 10 N. LaGrange Road, was hit by a car that fled, La Grange police learned  at about 3:46 p.m. April 1.

Three Rear-End Collisions

Three rear-end collisions were reported to La Grange police at Gilbert Road and 47th Street at about 11:54 a.m. April 1, on LaGrange Road about 20 feet north of Harris Avenue at about 12:35 p.m. April 1, and at LaGrange Road and Harris Avenue at about 12:56 p.m. April 1. No tickets were issued. No one requested transportation to the hospital, according to police.
