Teens Charged With Stealing Purse

Girl Found With Pipe


A 14-year-old female juvenile from Countryside was given a local-ordinance citation after she was found with a small pipe used to smoke marijuana in the 4900 block of Gilbert Avenue at 7:45 a.m.

She was released to a parent.

THURSDAY, NOV. 14

Teens Caught After Snatching Purse


Two 14-year-old male juveniles from La Grange were charged with theft, police said, after an investigation convinced police the teens stole a woman's purse that had been left unattended in a shopping cart outside the Garden Market Shopping Center Walgreens at 4:38 p.m. Nov. 13.

The purse was found the next day in a nearby field, but $30 that had been inside was not recovered. The teens were referred to juvenile court and released.
