Teen Charged With Armed Robbery of Pizza Delivery Man on NYE

Police said that footprints in the snow led them to the accused, a 17-year-old from La Grange.

A 17-year-old from La Grange has been charged with armed robbery for pulling a knife on a pizza delivery man New Years Eve, La Grange police announced Thursday.

Police say that Michael L. Anderson confronted the victim at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Hayes Ave. He then "brandished a knife" and demanded the victim's money.

Footprints in the snow led police to Anderson at a residence in the 200 block of East Ave., police said.

Anderson was charged with one count of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon. He appeared in court today for a bond hearing and is being held on $150,000 bond, police said.
