Bus Hits Stop Sign

A school bus hit a stop sign at the intersection of Cossitt and Elmwood avenues about 3:15 p.m. No one was injured.

Watch Requested for Gordon Park

The La Grange Park District requested extra watch at Gordon Park because people had been going into the skate park, which doesn't open until next spring.

Kids Tamper With Basketball Pole 

Some kids took the pole pad from the basketball pole at Cossitt School about 9:30 a.m.

Sunday, November 10

Warrant: Disorderly Conduct 

Police charged Derrick Moore, 51, of La Grange, with trespassing and a warrant out of Brookfield for disorderly conduct at the La Grange Public Library about 4:30 p.m.

Upsetting the Apple Tree  

A woman in the 400 block of Catherine Avenue reported someone cut her apple tree limbs for the third time in a month.

Graffiti 

Police found graffiti on the side of a building in the 400 block of East Cossitt Avenue about 11:15 a.m. The graffiti was not gang-related, police said.

Police found graffiti on the bleacher seats by the basketball courts in the 200 block of Washington Avenue about 9 a.m.  

Suspended Registration Arrest

Police charged Vincent Palomo, 23, of Cicero, with driving with suspended registration near the intersection of Catherine and Ogden avenues about 10:45 a.m. He was given a Dec. 31 court date and released.

Glass Broken

Someone broke the glass on the main door of a building in the 0-100 block of East Harris Avenue about 5:45 a.m.

Friday, November 8

Woman Reports Teen Urinating on Benches

A woman reported a group of teens who were urinating on benches in Gilbert Park about 4:30 p.m. Police were unable to find the teens.

Wednesday, November 6

Cell Phone Stolen

Someone stole a Samsung cell phone from a park center area in the 200 block of Washington Avenue about 5:30 p.m.

Extra Watch Request Follows Doorbell Ringing 

Police provided extra watch at a home in the 800 block of South Waiola Avenue after a woman reported someone rang her doorbell “several times” the previous night.

Wednesday, October 30

Retail Theft Arrest

Police charged Patrick Dunn, 21, of Wheaton, with retail theft after he stole a camera and an HDMI cable from the Radio Shack, 535 S. La Grange Rd., about 2:35 p.m.
